Blue & Gold Holdings will get assistance from the Suffolk County Industrial Development Agency for its planned mixed-use project in Huntington Station.
The IDA gave preliminary approval for tax breaks for Blue & Gold to develop a 20,337-square-foot mixed-use building with 16 rental apartments and commercial space on a vacant lot on New York Avenue.
The $5.7 million project called Northridge Square is a short walk to the Huntington Long Island Rail Road station.
Blue & Gold was the first developer to build housing in the ongoing revitalization of the area around the Huntington train station and the company has three more projects for the area in the pipeline.
In 2018, Blue & Gold opened The Northridge, a building with 16 apartments over 6,500 square feet of retail space, also located on New York Avenue.
